In the period of "Pride and Prejudice" the marriage was more a money issue than a thing related to the love. In the book we can see some features of love between Mr. Bingley and her future wife. But in the most of the cases we see that love was directly in contact with the money of the partner, like Mr. Collin and his wife.
In the book i'ts obvious that the more poor families want to get her daughters married so they have a solved and quiet life.
Nowdays, all the people say that love isn't related to the mone, but why mens that are 70 years old have girlfriends of 30? is that love? No, for that is still like the period of Pride and Prejudice. But on the other hand we can see that much people is poor and marry another poor person, that is real love with romanticism. So, nowdays love exists and is not related to social classes, but there are still some features from the past.
